Microsoft’s annual event Future Decoded takes place this year 31 October - 1 November, and will be held at ExCel, London.
Now in its fourth year, and promoting this year’s event as “your essential guide to disruptive technology and how it will impact people and businesses, today and tomorrow,” Microsoft’s programme focuses on the impact of cloud, big data and AI (artificial intelligence) on organisations regardless of size, industry and market, as well as across internal departments.
On day 1, the agenda for business professional and leaders is titled ‘Industry Insights & Futures’, while ‘The Open Cloud’ – for IT professionals and developers – will explore cloud and open source technology.
With organisations increasingly recognising the benefits of moving existing applications to and developing new applications on Azure – the charts below evidence the growing take-up in the UK – ‘Azure Summit: Digital Disruption Today and Tomorrow’ is scheduled for Future Decoded’s day 2. Aimed at enterprise business and technology decision makers, the programme’s sessions will look at how cloud is enabling businesses and organisations to develop business processes.
Will Jones, Cobweb Cloud Infrastructure and Applications, comments, "As a technical consultant I help customers develop their solutions utilising the Azure Platform. So, I am looking forward to the technical deep dives on day 2.
"I'm particularly excited about learning how to use CosmosDB in real world scenarios. CosmosDB really is the future of global database delivery for mission critical services."
Day 2 schedules code, scripts and data for the IT professionals.
Julian Dyer, Cobweb CTO, says, “The Cobweb team will be at Future Decoded and are very much looking forward to hearing the various speakers, from Microsoft as well as those representing Microsoft partners and the business and technology sectors.
“We’re particularly interested in hearing Microsoft’s latest update on Teams, and especially following the announcement that Skype for Business is to be phased out and to become part of Teams.
“Other areas of interest, and for which we’ll be looking out for news from Microsoft, are Power BI, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365.”
Commenting that Microsoft’s Future Decoded is a fantastic opportunity for businesses and the IT industry as a whole to come together, Michael Frisby, Cobweb MD, adds, “We’re also delighted that our partners Flex and AvePoint are gold sponsors.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Flex, and AvePoint, and to catching up with many of our customers who’ll be attending, as well as meeting colleagues from other areas of the business and IT communities.”
If you’d like to meet up with any of the Cobweb team at Future Decoded, you can arrange to do so by calling 0333 009 5941 or emailing email@example.com – and we’ll be posting blogs detailing news from Future Decoded over the two days of the event.
