Work smarter, not harder with Office 365

Make sure you're making the most of Teams with our top tips!
Emma Jobling, head of the Cobweb team, writes …
I can’t believe that a year has passed since I attended my first Microsoft Inspire - Microsoft’s annual flagship partner event. As in 2018, Inspire will this year be held in Las Vegas, from 14 to 18 July, and I’m very excited about attending.
I’ve booked meetings and sessions that will keep me busy from 7am to late at night, every day, and so am preparing myself for what I know will be a long but tremendously worthwhile week.
Attending Inspire last year gave us the information to help develop our strategy, and add solutions and services to the Cobweb portfolio. It also led to the creation of key campaigns to support our customers, around:
- Increasing productivity
- Securing the business, and
- Optimising IT infrastructure
And, in the past 12 months we’ve been able to support customers with huge success across these three areas.
I’m particularly looking forward to hearing the corenotes from Microsoft’s senior teams and learning about the most significant updates, that are always a feature at Inspire.
Whilst all the sessions during the day look to be very informative, my focus will be on Teams, Voice, Microsoft 365, and key strategies for moving customers to Azure - particularly in the light of the end of support for Windows 7 and Office 2010 (14 January 2020 and 13 October 2020) and for SQL Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 ( 9 July 2019 and 14 Janurary 2020, respectively).
We’re currently working closely with customers on user adoption of Teams within their organisations so they can realise the true benefits of Microsoft Office 365 through real-time collaboration and remote working. We’re also finding customers are increasingly adding voice capability to their Microsoft 365 solutions, as well as streamlining their multiple Microsoft licensing agreements into a central CSP agreement with Cobweb.
I’m looking forward to getting even more insight into these types of solutions and looking at additional ways to support our customers. Attending Inspire is key to Cobweb being able to proactively serve and keep our customers updated, and which we’ll continue to prioritise.
Oh, and last year we were hoping for an England World Cup Football final on the Sunday morning (preview day) - this year ‘m hoping for an England World Cup Cricket Final! Come on England!
