Future Decoded 2016 Tech Day – A Roadmap to the Future based on the Reality of Today
“Providing a roadmap to the future that is anchored in the reality of what a developer or IT professional can achieve today,” was the theme for Microsoft’s Future Decoded 2016 Tech Day on Wednesday 2 November, attended by 4,000+ visitors.
A focus on the development of increasingly intelligent services and devices and how they’re transforming the relationship we have with technology incorporated discussions on the ability of intelligent software to understand some of our fundamental human abilities, along with sessions looking at IT advancements in medical science.
A central thread was the growing significance of artificial intelligence in “helping us to see, to decide, to predict, to make and more”.
As well as talks on Windows, Office 365, EMS, IoT, many of the sessions at the event at the Excel centre in London were devoted to Azure, looking at various aspects including covering migration, security, and configuration.
Julian Dyer, Cobweb CTO, comments, “It was a busy and exciting event with a buzz of interest about stepping beyond the basics of infrastructure and virtual machines in the cloud, looking at a future of built-for-cloud software taking advantage of AI and data analytics.”
