On 6th December 2022, Cobweb will be rolling out Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on the account that you use to access our CORE portal. This means that we add an extra verification step to make sure that you are who you say you are, and that only authorized people can access your accounts for administration of your services.

Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication
1.) Attempt to log in to CORE as normal via https://core.cobweb.com
2.) Upon clicking “Sign In” you will be prompted with a two-factor screen as per the below (if this is your first time).
3.) Download one of the supported authentication apps. These include:
These apps are available to download on both Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
4.) Open the authenticator app, tap to add an account (usually work account), and scan the QR code on the CORE screen.
5.) Enter the one-time code as prompted and sign-in.
6.) Each subsequent time you now login will require you to enter the 6-digit one-time code;
7.) If you are unable to scan the QR code, click on “Unable to scan?” and you will be directed to enter a specific key, along with configuration values for settings if required.

Contact the Support team via support@cobweb.com and we will work with you to reinstate access to the relevant user account(s). It will require you to resubscribe using the steps above.

No, it is enabled at the platform level, so will be turned on for everyone at the same time. The option to enrol in advance is not supported.
