There’s been some exciting developments with the Microsoft Office 365 subscription service and here’s a run-down of the best.

3D animate your presentations

Make your presentations and documents stand out by embedding 3D animations into your Word and PowerPoint documents. It’s quick and easy to do: simply place a 3D model into the slide or sheet, then select from several pre-built animations.

The pen is mightier than the keyboard

Forget the keyboard, you can now edit documents using a digital pen. Apart from deleting or highlighting words, you can now also seamlessly insert new text, add line breaks or split up text.

Convert Word docs to webpages

With the new ‘Transform to Web’ function you can convert a Word document into a stunning, interactive and intuitive Sway web page that will look fantastic on any device. It’s easy to do. Simply author a Word document, click File, and then click Transform. There are numerous styles to choose from depending on the tone and intended demographic of the web page.

Improve video call focus with Background Blur

Because video calling is now an office staple Microsoft is bringing users closer by making video conferencing super simple. Microsoft Team’s new Background Blur function is great for businesses who want to eliminate distractions by hiding the background of their meeting location. It helps meetings stay focused and on-topic. To use the function, select ‘More Options’, then click ‘Blur My Background.’

Be app compatible with App Assure

The new Desktop App Assure FastTrack Center Application takes the pain out of compatibility testing particularly for organisations hoping to upgrade to newer versions of Windows and Microsoft Office. This service can address issues related to Windows 10, Office 365 ProPlus and any other feature updates. If you notice any potential compatibility problems, simply file a ticket via FastTrack and a specialist will follow up the issue at no extra cost.

SharePoint migration tool updates

SharePoint users now have great updates that will accelerate the journey to 365. The Migration Tool gives them access to an intuitive interface that helps migrate existing OneDrive, SharePoint, and File Shares content to OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams.
