Microsoft Power BI updates have reached a whole new level with a range of fresh reporting, analytics and modelling improvements. Here’s a snapshot of some of the developments:

Reporting improvements for stunning visuals

You no longer have to spending time trying to get items on a page to all line up correctly thanks to the introduction of Smart Guides which operate in much the same way as the lines that appear when you move elements around a PowerPoint slide.

Visual spatial analytics have received a huge boost with the new ArcGIS Maps functions. Users can now enjoy a vastly improved user interface and new boundary and infographic data for 130 countries – including the UAE - along with the ability to pin up to 5,000 addresses per map with a 'Plus' subscription.

Analytics Get Visual

Live connect support for Q&A has progressed to the 'Preview' stage, with the majority of live connect applications now allowing users to use Q&A for eye-catching visuals. This function needs to be switched on manually via the 'Options' menu.
