Microsoft Inspire is Microsoft’s largest partner event, held annually to update Microsoft partners – such as Cobweb – with their latest news and announcements.
Usually an in-person event held in the US, this year’s Inspire on 14-15 July will again be virtual due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
It will, however, be just as exciting with its keynote speeches and individual sessions, hosted by key Microsoft execs and thought leaders from across the IT and cloud industry.
We’re particularly pleased to see as a major theme the ‘new world of work’ and its hybrid workplace focus. Increasing numbers of businesses across industry – from banks to law firms to housing associations – and regardless of size are preparing for a hybrid model for their workforce.
Windows Virtual Desktop – now renamed Azure Virtual Desktop – and Microsoft Teams in particular have been the bedrock solutions on which organisations have relied in the past year, and we’re looking forward to hearing Microsoft’s forthcoming plans for both these.
There’s also a major focus on digital transformation and how partners can best support their customers in moving to the cloud.
And, of course, security will always be a chief concern to be addressed, and the challenges businesses face in the ever-changing threat landscape of cybercrime.
We’re also delighted to see the spotlight turned on to sustainability. Microsoft says, “To enable a more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable world – we need everyone at all levels of organization to learn and embrace a mindset and culture of change making.”
We’ll be attending these sessions to see how we at Cobweb can help make a difference.
Team members from across Cobweb will be attending the various sessions and we’ll be bringing you the main updates and news announcements.
In the meantime, if you’d like to chat with any of us here at Cobweb – if you’ve any questions about Azure Virtual Desktop or Microsoft Teams, for example – we’re here, and happy to talk!
