Looking ahead to Future Decoded

Microsoft’s annual event Future Decoded takes place this year 31 October - 1 November, and will be held at ExCel, London.

Now in its fourth year, and promoting this year’s event as “your essential guide to disruptive technology and how it will impact people and businesses, today and tomorrow,” Microsoft’s programme focuses on the impact of cloud, big data and AI (artificial intelligence) on organisations regardless of size, industry and market, as well as across internal departments.

On day 1, the agenda for business professional and leaders is titled ‘Industry Insights & Futures’, while ‘The Open Cloud’ – for IT professionals and developers – will explore cloud and open source technology.

With organisations increasingly recognising the benefits of moving existing applications to and developing new applications on Azure – the charts below evidence the growing take-up in the UK – ‘Azure Summit: Digital Disruption Today and Tomorrow’ is scheduled for Future Decoded’s day 2. Aimed at enterprise business and technology decision makers, the programme’s sessions will look at how cloud is enabling businesses and organisations to develop business processes.

Will Jones, Cobweb Cloud Infrastructure and Applications, comments, "As a technical consultant I help customers develop their solutions utilising the Azure Platform. So, I am looking forward to the technical deep dives on day 2.

Day 2 schedules code, scripts and data for the IT professionals.
