Microsoft 365 Business Voice is the all-in-one telephony solution created by Microsoft for the SMB - organisations with up to 300 users.

Delivered inside Office 365’s team hub, Microsoft Teams, Business Voice is a cloud-based phone system enabling businesses to centralise and unify their communication systems, while enhancing productivity and efficiency through taking advantage of the integration with Teams.

The solution is available via two major plans - as a with calling, and as a without calling option. The latter enables businesses to either opt for direct routing and select their own telephony carrier for the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network), or use an existing PBX system, with Qunifi’s Call2Teams connecting the phone system to Business Voice. You can read more about the different Business Voice plans available in our blog, Microsoft 365 Business Voice offers 'with' and 'without' calling plans.

Businesses implementing a without calling plan and utilising an established PBX system can also continue to use system features in place and existing handsets, if they wish, and this device option extends to any Business Voice plan.

Many businesses continue to favour use of desk-based handsets, while Business Voice gives employers the option to move the entire organisation to employing headsets. Some businesses may also require a mixture of device, with the most applicable option across the business depending individually on role and/or preference.

For those businesses requiring a traditional phone experience, Microsoft Teams supports a portfolio of desk phones, while a range of headsets is also available. And Teams’ Microsoft Teams Rooms features can help minimise and even help eliminate altogether the issues that can hamper the smooth running of meetings - problems with logistics, arrangements, attendance, for example.

Microsoft Teams Rooms brings the power of Microsoft Teams to meetings, enabling participants to experience rich HD audio and video, and easily share content with the room and remote attendees.

To enable us to offer customers a complete solution that meets each individual customer’s precise needs, we provide an extensive range of devices for desks, mobile workers and meeting rooms, and for customers moving to Business Voice, can also include devices with one, three, four, or five year-term finance options.

The Cobweb team will be happy to advise on any Business Voice requirements - from plans to devices. Call the team on 0333 009 5941, or email - or download our eBook, A Free Guide to Microsoft 365 Business Voice if you’d like more information about the solution itself.
