We’re thrilled to announce that Cobweb’s MD, Michael Frisby, has been selected as ‘one to watch’ as part of LDC’s search for the Top 50 Business Leaders in the UK.
LDC is the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group and 2020 is the third year in which the award - Champions of Ambition, and supported by The Daily Telegraph - has been run.
This year’s finalists of nominated managing directors, founders, CEOs, etc. head up businesses from across the country and across industry and market, with their organisations contributing more than £1bn to the UK economy.
Explaining the decision to select business leaders ‘to watch’, LDC says, “There can only be 50 Most Ambitious Leaders but the sheer volume of exceptional entries this year means that we have an exciting and dynamic “Ones to Watch” category.
“These are the leaders behind tomorrow’s mid-sized firms, growing innovative and resilient businesses that are making a big impact on their customers and target markets.
“These Ambitious Leaders in-the-making will be the nation’s principle job creators in years to come, generating growth and prosperity for the British economy.”
We’re delighted that Michael has received this recognition - but not surprised. It is the strength of his leadership skills and passion for the IT industry and Cobweb, alongside his compassion and support for employees, that enables him to develop and continually evolve Cobweb’s business strategy, so that we can provide the latest and best cloud solutions and services to support our customers.
The names and stories of the Top 50 Business Leaders will be revealed on a daily basis via LDC and featured in The Daily Telegraph, while the names of the business leaders ‘to watch’ are listed on the LDC website.
This has been a tough year for so many businesses, and so it’s wonderful to be able to celebrate some success stories. Congratulations to all the Champions of Ambition!
