Cobweb is delighted to announce that the company now has the following three Gold Microsoft cloud competencies – for

  • Cloud Platform
  • Cloud Productivity
  • Small and Mid-market Cloud Solutions

The Cloud Platform competency is awarded to Microsoft partners specialising in the delivery of infrastructure and SaaS solutions on Microsoft Azure, and was devised to help meet the growing demand for IaaS and SaaS solutions in the public cloud.

Cloud Productivity competency is for partners specializing in enterprise deployment of Office 365 and the Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions competency for those focusing on selling to small and midsized businesses.

‘Born in the cloud’, Cobweb has been acquiring and developing experience and proficiency in the provision of cloud services and solutions for 20 years. We regard the award of accreditations and competencies essential to assuring customer peace of mind, as well as serving to strengthen capabilities and expertise.

ISO 27001 certification demonstrates that we keep our customers’ data confidential, safe, secure and always accessible. ISO 9001 certification shows that we have standardised procedures for work and are continually looking for ways to improve. This provides a consistent service for our customers and ensures quality, safety and reliability.

Microsoft requires a combination of evidenced learning, in the form of exams taken by employees, and customer references before awarding competencies (graded Silver or Gold).

Cobweb employees work to an exam and learning schedule to ensure that they are continually upskilling and developing the industry knowledge needed to be able to progress the work of the company and also work towards achieving awards such as those conferred via Microsoft’s competency programme. Competency requirements include training to be completed in Azure, Office365, Skype for Business, Exchange, for example.

Cobweb has also achieved Gold competency for Messaging and Communications, as well as Gold Hosting, Gold OEM, Silver Datacentre and Silver Devices & Deployment.

Julian Dyer, Cobweb CTO, comments, “This is a great achievement. It is extremely rare for a company to have so many Microsoft competencies, and particularly to have been awarded three Microsoft Golds for cloud in the UK.

“We’re very proud of the hard work and dedication of our staff.

“It’s vital for our customers that we continue to strive to achieve the best. As well as continually building on our 20 years’ experience we place a high value on outside recognition of our achievements, expertise and levels of service – such as those evidenced though our ISO accreditations – and we’re delighted to be awarded Microsoft’s highest accolade and recognized with triple Gold for our cloud services.”
