Spot VM Try To Restore – Now Generally Available

  • Spot VMs take advantage of unused capacity in Azure at a significant cost saving. When Azure needs the capacity the VM is evicted.
  • Spot VMs are great for environments designed with interruptions like test and dev environments, large compute work load, and more.
  • Try & Restore for Spot VMs will attempt to restore a VM that has been evicted due to capacity.
  • This improves the life span of Spot VMs so workloads can run longer.

  • Traffic network policies can now be applied to Private Endpoints using
    • UDRs to redirect traffic to Network Virtual Appliance (NVA) / firewall
    • NSGs in front of the endpoint to filter inbound traffic.
