The integrated platform recognises an organisation’s changing needs, in particular those resulting from shifts to remote working in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with an eye to a future that will see the majority of businesses operating hybrid remote/office-based working models. And work-from-home/hybrid g trends are set to take greater hold in the Middle East according to a recent survey by recruitment firm Robert Walters which found that about 38% of professionals in the region now want to work from home permanently with a further 32% preferring a hybrid model.

Microsoft Viva rebuilds connections between team members and business-wide many of which may have been lost, or lapsed, during pandemic shutdowns. Helping to replace the in-person forums that were impossible during lockdowns, Viva Connections makes it easy to find relevant colleagues and identify forums to join, within a business-fostered culture of inclusion.
In a Microsoft mental health study, 70% of interviewed employees reported higher stress levels, with 40% admitting to overall poorer mental health. Viva Insights supports mental health improvement, through creating better work habits, and delivering personalised insights and actionable recommendations. Emphasis is on helping employees to work smarter not harder, and to make the most of their time.
Microsoft Viva Topics helps people put knowledge to work, using Artificial intelligence to convert content into usable knowledge, by collating and organising an organisation’s collective knowledge into contextual topic pages which are easily accessible to relevant audiences. Viva Topics automatically organizes the content across apps and Teams with built-in security and compliance features.
The Microsoft workplace survey unearthed some startling results. While many bemoaned the lack of essential skills preventing future growth, few would have anticipated that as many as 79% of global CEOs cited this as hampering their growth. Employee development, which as we all recognise is essential to business success, is far more elusive than we thought.
As Microsoft’s skills growth pillar, Viva Learning fosters a learning culture into an employee’s everyday life with learning sources ranging from colleagues to formal forums delivered by online course providers.
