Continuing its drive to empower people and businesses with leading-edge AI tools, Microsoft now plans to take group collaboration to a whole new level with its ‘Team Copilot’ AI assistant due for release around Q4.
The new ‘Team Copilot’ will keep meetings on track, take collaborative notes, manage large projects, and assigns tasks but people will stay be in control having the ability to ignore or override Team Copilot’s choices or assignments or even assign tasks to the new collaborative AI assistant.
Team Copilot, which will be available in Microsoft Teams, expands the capabilities of Microsoft 365 Copilot which currently acts as more of a personal assistant rather than a team player. Due for release in preview later this year, clients will need a Microsoft 365 Copilot license to access Team Copilot.
