The role purpose is split into two key areas Technical Pre-sales and Service Deployment and a secondary focus of Service Design.
The role is responsible for assisting in the sales engagement process (pre-sales) where advice and specialist onboarding knowledge is required to sell the art of the possible whilst increasing proposal accuracy and average revenues across the Professional Services catalogue.
The Project Engineer role will deliver customer and service excellence within the Project Management Team, ensuring all engagements, internal and external are delivered within agreed timescales and to deployment document specifications.
The Project Engineer is responsible for recognising and promoting best practice for internal processes and will train junior colleagues and in certain circumstances partners or customers, to help ensure the transition from Professional Services to in-life operations of the service is efficient and as non-disruptive as possible.
This role is subject to extra duties on an out-of-hours basis, therefore flexibility in working hours is essential and maybe required from time to time. This includes on occasion travelling to client sites both within the United Kingdom and internationally, events and other company offices, dependent on the workload and location of customer.
Where required, the Project Engineer role is responsible for assisting with the design and definition, initial build and ongoing maintenance of new services based upon existing and future product/service roadmap.
